Q. Why buy FERIDIES Virginia Peanuts?
A.
You may aske yourself, why purchase FERIDIES peanuts when there are so many brands to choose from? At FERIDIES, we pride ourselves on the large size, fresh flavor and crunchy texture of our Virginia peanuts. This high quality is achieved by using the largest Virginia type peanuts available and roasting them in pure peanut oil. Peanut oil is valued as premium cooking oil because it doesn't transfer food flavor and is high in the desirable mono-unsaturated fatty acides. In addition, the peanut oil maintains that distinctive peanut taste and the healthy qualities of the peanut. No additives or preservatives are added in any of our products.

Q. Are Peanuts Healthy?
A.
Yes! Peanuts are naturally cholesterol free, low in carbohydrates and low in saturated fat. They contain 0 transfats. They are rich in good (unsaturated) fats, fiber and Vitamin E. Peanuts are an excellent source of iron, copper, zinc, potassium, magnesium, selenium, and other nutrients; as well as a good source of protein and folic acid. Research has shown that peanut consumption contributes to a reduced risk of heart disease and cancer.

Peanuts are an excellent source of resveratrol, best known for its occurrence in red wine. Research shows that resveratrol may protect against arteriosclerosis, heart attack, stroke and cancer by lowering cholesterol plaque and platelet accumulation in the arteries and by preventing the growth of damaged cells in the body. The average amount of resveratrol in one ounce of peanuts is about the same as 6 cups (or 2 pounds) of grapes. Please see Nutritional Information for more details.

Q. What is the Shelf Life of your peanuts?

Peanuts should be stored in a cool, dry place to achieve the stated shelf life. Peanuts can be frozen or refrigerated to extend the shelf life and maintain product freshness.

Q. When is my Credit Card charged?
A.
Credit cards will be charged at the time the order is shipped.

Q.  Can I set up an account with FERIDIES to be invoiced.
A.  Yes, All first orders must be prepaid.  We accept: American Express, Visa, MasterCard or Discover.  You may contact customer service at 866-732-6883 to receive a credit application.  Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for processing credit.  Once approved, you will be contacted with your credit limit.  All accounts are Net 15.  Accounts 30 days past due may be placed on prepay status without notification and not additional shipments will be made until invoices are paid. 

Q. Do you charge a finance fee?
A. Yes, a finance charge of 2.5% per month will be added to accounts past due. Returned checks will incur a $35 charge. Subsequent orders will be shipped prepay only.  Orders paid with a credit card after 30 days become Credit Card Accounts.

Q. Do you ship to International Countries?

Yes, we ship worldwide! Please call 866-732-6883 to discuss our International Shipping Options.

Q.  Do you split cases?
A. 
We split cases 12/12 on the 9 oz size vacuum tins only.  Otherwise, we do not split cases.


Q. How do I guarantee my order will arrive when I need it?
A.
FERIDIES currently offers UPS and truckline delivery options. Please allow a 1-3 day lead-time for order shipment.  During the months of October through December. The standard shipping methods should get your package delivered within 7-8 “business” days (does not include Saturday and Sunday) from the day we receive your order. We also offer expedited shipping methods such as UPS Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air and 3 Day Select. During Step 3 of the Checkout process, the Estimated Arrival Date will be calculated based on the Shipping State and Shipping Method you choose. You may schedule a later delivery date, by changing the calculated date. Please review our Shipping page for complete details. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an e-mail with the ship date and tracking number so you may track the order. If it is important for an order to arrive on a certain date, we recommend you call 866-732-6883 and speak to a Customer Service Representative to ensure you are aware of all your options and possible delivery timeframe.

Q. How do I change or cancel my Internet Order once it has been submitted? A. Once you submit your order, you will receive an e-mail confirming we have received your order and asking you to contact us if the order is not correct or if you would like to make any changes. You may reply to the e-mail or call 866-732-6883 to speak to a Customer Service Representative. If you need to make changes, we ask that you contact us immediately to prevent the processing and shipment of the original order. We may not be able to help you once the order has been shipped.

Q. What is the CID/CVV2 number?
A.
The CID is a 3 or 4 digit special security code feature on your American Express, Discover, MasterCard or Visa credit card. CIDs are not raised, so they are not scanned into standard credit card readers, nor can they be stored by merchants. In theory, these numbers are only visible to you. When you give your CID to a merchant, you assist the merchant in verifying that you, the cardholder, are placing the order. In general, it is suppose to help protect the customer against credit card fraud.

Q. How do I buy a Gift Certificate?
